My blogging experience

About my blogging experience I'd have to say that I enjoyed working in this blog very much. This is my first approach to keeping an online journal like this and it was truly a fun experience. Aside from it being fun, I also learned how to use this kind of technology, and I'm thinking about making a real one for myself. Not in english, of course, but I must say I enjoyed the fact that I had to write about myself in another language, because I realised how tricky it can be to express what I have in mind when writing in english.

One thing I didn't like was that some of the subjects that I had to blog about were kind of boring, at least for me. That made it harder for me to concentrate and be able to write like I was supposed to.

As for it helping me improve my english, I must say it really did. I had to ask some friends or search the web in order to find expressions or words that suited what I wanted to say. In a more specific matter, I think it helped me improve my knowledge of the prepositions and improved my vocabulary. After doing this, I feel more than capable of writing (with some help, of course) an english based work related to my career in Psychology if I ever need to.

One of the advantages of blogging, is that it makes the process of learning more interactive, not just memorizing words and grammar rules. It makes it a lot easier while being fun at the same time.
Maybe the only disadvantage could be that it's a public blog, so anyone can read it an criticise my work, and that puts some pressure on me. But it's fun nonetheless.

I recommend this kind of experience to future students of the english program. Enjoy it and make the most out of it if you have the chance.

My ideal job

My ideal job is working with little children in a hospital. I think children are so pure and sweet and they give a lot of love. Their world is very interesting and particular. I would like to work in a hospital because in that place there are many children with many problems. There is a specialization in oncology. Working with children with this disease is my dream, because I would help them not to be so sad.

The qualities and skills that I need for this job is to have a postgrade in that area and of course knowing how to treat the children and get close to them.

I think I would be good because I love my career and I like children too. I love to talk with them and enter in their world. You can learn a lot from them. The most important is that working in this area would make me really happy so I will do my job with a lot of enthusiasm and love.

Finding this job would be very difficult because I suppose there is a lot of competition in the infantile clinical psychology area. But I will do all that I can to enter there, because it is my dream and I really see myself forward in this job.

My favorite subject

I'm going to talk about my favorite subject of this semester. My favorie subject is Social Psychology. This class is dictated by the profesor Pablo Valdivieso.
I like this class because is very fun and interesting. I think it has open my eyes very much, because before I had a very individualist perspective about the psychology, but now I see the importance that social part has in the psychology.
The teacher is a very nice person, he is interesting about the students opinions and he listenes to us. Physically he is short, something fat and he has deep blue eyes.
In this subject I have learnt about how the society works and the most important is that I have changed my mind about the way of looking my career. Whatever I do when I finish my career I will always have present the social aspect, because I have learnt tah back of a person exist a society too.
Finally, before enter to psychology, I thought about the Sociology career, so I like this subject because I like to have something of sociology in my career.

CREATIVITY

Sir Ken Robinson talks about the creativity. He thinks the education is wrong because is teaching to the children to be not crative. He says that the wrong actions and mistakes are very necesary to make original ideas. All the children born with a talent and all of them are genious, but the education often killes that talents making the children don't have original ideas. The system doesn't leave children expresses completly and it creates perfect adults.
Sir Ken says that the top is being a university teacher and the young pleople must have a degree to enter to the system. That's the reason because there are a few artists and original ideas in the world.
Personally, I think Sir Ken is right. I think so because the system cuts children creativity very much. Teachers are not delicated with children and they obligate them to be very quiet and not thinking. Every is memory now and everyone must be similar. Any diference is prohibited. I dislike the idea of thinking that there is not space in my planet for art and innovation. Finally with the educational system of these days we are killing children`s real essence that is the imagination.

My Future

Now I will talk about the future. What I'd liked to be doing in five years is being working in my career, psychology. Exactly I would like being in the judicial area. But, in the same time I hope to be in a postgrade like a master's degree. In the end I really would like to earn good money.
Personally I expect to have a stable relationship with my boyfriend, although I would like to be single and without children too.

Regarding to the place where I'll be living, I think I won't be living with my parents, I'd like to live in an apartment alone and with a persian cat. Maybe I would think about living with a friend, it would be fun.

An ideal future to me is traveling to Africa and Asia. To know the wild animals in their natural habitat and to help the species in danger like elephants, tigers, orangutangs, etc. As well, I would love to know Egipt and all the arabian countries too. I love the oriental world so much. To finish, in a perfect future I would meet a beautiful and perfect man in another country, like France, and living a crazy love with him.

KARL GUSTAV JUNG

Jung is considered an analytic psychologist, although he includes in his theory a lot of humanist components. At the beginning he worked with Freud, but later he separated from him because he didn`t agree with Freud's theory completely.

He includes in his theory the dreams, art, religion, mythology and philosophy. These things make he closes to the humanism.



Karl Jung was a swiss psychiatrist and the founder of the concepts of Collective Unconscious and Archetypes. He travelled to Africa and India to learn more about the oriental cultures. In that countries he could find the necessary elements to work as a psychologist in Europe and America. He made his own interpretation about dreams. Freud gave dreams a sexual connotation, but Jung didn`t think so, and he declared that dreams had a historical and mystic interpretation. They are the remembers and have components of the world`s history.



I like Jung because of his mysticism. I think he is a very complete guy and he trascended the occidental frontiers.

That`s the same reason why I think he is one of the best, because he investigated many areas to conceive his theory of psyche. And his theory of the collective unconscious is beatiful.

MY CAREER

I will talk about the career I am studying.

I study psichology at "Universidad de Chile". Now I`m in the second year of the career and each day I love it more.
I chose this career, because I always felt atracted about the human mind. I think the way of human acts is so misterious and complex that attracts my atention. Moreover, I like the psychology mixes the biological side and the humanist side. There is a balance between these two perspectives and disciplines. Finally, I want to help to people feel better and I`d liked they get the happyness.

The good side of my career is that the people you meet is great, they are so humanist and they always takes care about the others. The emotions are so important, and it`s funny that your classmates advice you and listen to you when you have a problem or you don´t feel good. Furthermore the career is beautiful, funny, interesting and you always can learn something new.

The bad sides of psychology are that you sometimes feel confused about the patologies, because you feel you have all of them. In other way, I think the psychology is very individualist, because it studies the human being as he would never be interacting with the society. We forget we are influenced by the world we live in.

To finish, what I expect about the future in my career is working in the judicial system, because I want to work with the people who really needs help. If I work in clinic psychology, I would love working in the public system. And I want to specialize and get postgraduates.
